Camila Cabello, Ed Sheeran Join Upcoming Concert for Ukraine

Ed Sheeran and Camila Cabello have joined the live two-hour Concert for Ukraine. The singers are among the first performers to be announced for the fundraiser. Other performers include Emeli Sandé, Gregory Porter, and Snow Patrol. Concert for Ukraine is a two-hour fundraiser to raise money for the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and will take place on March 29.
The Disasters Emergency Committee is joining forces with media and entertainment group Global to bring together artists from around the world to raise funds for Ukraine. Organizers hope the concert will help spread a message of hope, support, and raise funds for the war torn country. Funds will go toward providing food, water, shelter, and medical assistance to refugees from Ukraine.
“One of the biggest needs is to get funds to organizations who can serve these communities directly, so we’re focusing our efforts on doing that as quickly as we can,” Cabello said in a press release.

Spice Girl Emma Bunton alongside Marvin Humes and Ronan Kemp will host the upcoming concert.
“The NEC Group stands with the people of Ukraine. Whilst the live entertainment industry is shocked and deeply saddened to see the humanitarian crisis unfold, it has the power to make a difference. That’s, of course, through people’s love of music,” said NEC Group Managing Director of Ticketing and Arenas, Guy Dunstan in a press release. “As a charity fundraising event, Concert for Ukraine will be a fantastic show that brings together some of the UK’s biggest artists at one of our leading entertainment venues, Resorts World Arena, to help raise money for humanitarian relief.”
With their recent “Bam Bam” collaboration, Cabello and Sheeran are sure to take the stage together during Concert For Ukraine. Music has always served a greater purpose when it comes to the need for visibility and funds. From the Global Citizen Festival to USA for Africa, concerts have helped raise billions for great causes.
Concert for Ukraine will broadcast across ITV as well as ITV Hub. The concert is being produced by Livewire Pictures and Global. Tickets are currently on sale for the Resorts World Arena event. The broadcast will combine music performances with short films recognizing the relief efforts and the people affected by the conflict in Ukraine. Viewers will be able to donate money to the cause throughout the evening. Sponsorships and ad revenue, which is expected to raise over £3 million, will also be donated.
