Bruno Tonioli Apologizes for Swearing on ‘BGT’ Live Shows

Britain’s Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli has carried his unpredictable style into the live Semifinals, as he was heard swearing not once but twice this week. Tonioli was reprimanded by host Ant McPartlin and apologized to the viewers at home.

Bruno Tonioli Heard Swearing on BGT Live Shows

The Series 16 Semifinals for BGT are airing live every night this week, as the finalists are decided by the viewers and judges. During Tuesday’s show, Tonioli could be heard swearing as he and his fellow judges participated in contestant Andrew Stanton’s daredevil routine.

Host Ant McPartlin addressed the moment in Wednesday’s show, telling the audience, “Now before we carry on, we have to just say sorry if you heard a bit of choice language on this show last night. There will be none of that this evening.”

Unfortunately, that turned out to be a false promise, because Tonioli swore yet again during Wednesday’s episode. While being led toward a guillotine as part of Miki Dark’s magic act, Tonioli once again let out a curse word. The show’s official online clips appear to have been edited to remove the foul language from both performances.

Tonioli Apologized During Wednesday’s Show

Later in Wednesday’s show, Tonioli took a moment to apologize to viewers for slipping up yet again, saying, “I was so into what happened yesterday, and what do I do? I did it again and I am so sorry. I promise you I will never do it again.”

Tonioli has caused quite a stir during his first season as a BGT judge. First, he hit the Golden Buzzer for dance group Ghetto Kids while they were still performing. Then later in the season, he hit the Golden Buzzer a second time for singer Gamal John.

Fans also think there might be some tension between Tonioli and fellow judge Alesha Dixon. As one viewer wrote on Twitter during Wednesday’s episode, “Alesha hates Bruno lmao.”
