Britney Spears Allegedly Unhappy About Sister Jamie Lynn Joining ‘DWTS’

Jamie Lynn Spears is geared up to hit the Dancing With the Stars dance floor, but big sister Britney Spears may not be the most supportive. According to an insider, Britney doesn’t think it’s appropriate for Jamie Lynn to compete yet given their upsetting family situation.
Britney Spears Thinks It’s Not Time for Jamie Lynn to Compete on DWTS
Last week, it was announced that Jamie Lynn Spears is one of the celebrity contestants gracing season 32 of DWTS. The Zoey 101 alum will attempt to secure the Mirrorball Trophy alongside pro Alan Bersten.
Unfortunately though, not all members of her family are thrilled to witness her upcoming stint. A source recently revealed that Britney Spears feels her DWTS participation is bad timing. Especially since she [Britney] is going through a public divorce.
“Britney wasn’t initially thrilled about Jamie Lynn doing Dancing With the Stars. It’s bad timing, especially with Britney dealing with her split with Sam,” the source said. “She feels continuously disappointed by her family, and it definitely stings.”
According to the source, Britney wants the best for her family, but it doesn’t make her feel good. The insider went on and revealed that Britney thinks that her sister is “capitalizing on her” at this point.
“Britney feels like Jamie Lynn is capitalizing on her at a time when she is going through a very public divorce, and her memoir is coming out soon,” the source said.
Over the years, Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears did not have a good relationship as sisters. A large chunk of their stained sisterhood has a lot to do with Britney’s since-dissolved conservatorship which the pop star claimed she failed to receive support from Jamie Lynn.
The Singer Shares Cryptic Post Amid Sam Asghari Divorce
In the middle of her divorce from Sam Asghari, Britney has been speaking up about her “darker” experiences. Via Instagram, she posted a video of a young girl baking with two older girls who were cracking eggs open on her forehead.
As explained by the “Gimme More” singer, without the sound, the situation in the video is alarming. She went on and stated that “similar things” have been done to her. Hence, she sees the video on a deeper perspective. Â
“Most of my inner conflict with people is knowing the enemy is right in front of me but I kept them because I loved them!!! I’m extremely sensitive to anybody laughing at someone or bullying in any way!!!” she wrote.
She later teased that she aims to reveal more about her personal challenges in the coming days.
“There’s so much I’ve kept private that’s gone on with me personally and maybe one day I can let people know … until then, there’s 3 sides to every story!!!” she wrote.
