The Britain’s Got Talent family is mourning the loss of Kerri-Anne Donaldson, who was found dead in her home. The dancer, who passed away at the age of 38, reached the semi-final of the show in 2014 as part of the group Kings and Queens.

Kerri-Anne Donaldson Found Dead Days After Sexual Offense Arrest

After an investigation it’s been revealed that Britain’s Got Talent dancer Kerri-Anne Donaldson was found dead nearly three days after being arrested for ‘sexual offense.’ News of the dancer’s demise was broken by The Sun UK, who specified the documents found during an investigation.

According to documents, Donaldson was arrested on June 4, 2023 and questioned at a police station about ‘sexual’ offense, which she denied. Nearly three days later she was discovered dead at home in Farnborough, Hampshire.

Allegedly, following her release from custody, Donaldson failed to return home, causing her family to report her as a missing person. She was later found at Travelodge hotel in Woking, Surrey after taking medication.

According to her sister, Cara Donaldson, the dancer told emergency doctors that she intended to end her life. Kerri-Anne was later released to Cara, who drove her home on June 6.

Apparently, the dancer’s family weren’t given any care plans or advice on how to assist Kerri-Anne. Cara Donaldson, also asked her sister about her allegations, and her sister replied saying she was not guilty and it had “all been constructed.”

The Dancer’s Sister Details Her Final Hours

Due to concern, Cara spent the evening with her sister and was reluctant to leave her alone. She even told her sister she was concerned she would follow through with her intention and it would ‘always be on my shoulders.’ Her sister instead denied that she was going to do it.

Eventually, Cara left, and the dancer texted her, saying “Thanks for everything today.” A heart emoji was attached on the message, so Cara thought her sister was ok.

The next morning, the dancer didn’t answer her phone, which lead to her sister discovering her dead. Allegedly, there was a note at the top of the stairs, urging her sister to not come inside. Photos of her dog and family were also discovered. The song “You are so Beautiful” was playing when the dancer was found.

The court was told that Donaldson’s cause of death was “hanging.” A post death test found non-fatal levels of medication in her blood, which were consistent with an overdose. Cara remembers her sister, saying she was “[a] Heart of gold, full of fun, brought happiness to life, especially mine, career-driven, adored her family, adored her friends, fantastic dance teacher, everyone loved her.”

Donaldson was on television a few times, as part of Kings and Queens on BGT, as well as performing alongside Neil and Katya Jones as well as Kai Widdrington, all of whom became professionals on Strictly Come Dancing.
