Brian Austin Green, Sharna Burgess’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Performance Gives Proposal Vibes

In case you’ve been watching Dancing with the Stars with the sound (and screen) off, you’ll know Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess are both partners on the dance floor and in real life. I genuinely thought their latest PDA-filled dance was going to end with a proposal, and I’m so bummed it didn’t.

Brian and Sharna’s dance sequence started out with a date to the Van Gogh immersive exhibit. Their dialogue, cuddling, and dreamy gazes gave total The Bachelor vibes. Enhanced by Sharna’s clearly scripted explanation:

“So the reason I’ve brought you on this date is because this week we get to dance to our song. We’re going to do the Rumba to ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ by James Arthur.”

The screen then dissolves into a collection of home pictures of the two over the past eleven months (the duration of their relationship.) Green also posted a photo of the romantic date before their performance with a caption that may or may not have made me cry.

Real Life Couple Brian and Sharna Put Their Love on the Dance Floor

Watching this performance, I felt like I should look away and give these two some privacy. It was as though they were dancing around their house on an anniversary, or maybe dancing in the rain before a very steamy scene that is definitely NSFW.

Toward the end of the song, the two literally just swayed, staring at each other, singing along to the song. I expected, and my heart broke a bit when I did not see, Brian to get down on one knee to propose to his dancing queen.

While my romantic heart may be rooting for these two, the judges were absolutely not.

“On a positive note it has a bit of romance about it, a part from that there was very little I liked,” said Len Goodman. “It was a lot of posing, a lot of running around, another pose.”

He’s really not wrong, and even Brian agreed: “I’m a poser!”

He’s clearly not taking the competition very seriously, obviously prioritizing spending time with his girlfriend. For the second week in a row, Carrie Ann Inaba mentioned Brian doesn’t take his eyes off of Sharna throughout the performance. Even Derek Hough, who is also dating his dance partner, was more critical than usual.

“Every once in a while on this show, you do a dance on this show that’s kind of just for you,” he said.

Let’s let these two have this one and hope we get a chance to see more of their PDA-packed performances in the future. Maybe we’ll get that proposal if they get the mirrorball trophy…I can dream.
