Britain’s Got Talent Series 19 returned on Saturday night for another episode of auditions. During the show, judge Alesha Dixon beat Simon Cowell to pressing the Golden Buzzer for a unique video-game-themed performance.

Unique BGT Act Earns Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer

During Saturday’s episode, a Ukrainian group called Antigravity took the stage to create what appeared to be a real-life video game. As judge Alesha Dixon commented during the performance, “My daughter would love this.”

The group even incorporated the judges into the performance, as the performer on stage appeared to fight a digital version of Simon Cowell. He also appeared to drive a car, and at one point it started snowing in the theater.

Cowell called the act “one of the best things I’ve ever seen on this show.” KSI said he “would pay to watch that again.” The crowd chanted for someone to press the Golden Buzzer for the group. Just as Dixon seemed to be thinking about doing the honors, Cowell stood up and started walking toward the Golden Buzzer.

Dixon immediately stood up to block him from it, instead pressing it herself. Cowell already hit the Golden Buzzer once this year, so it was nice to see someone else on the panel get a chance to do it. Antigravity is going straight to the live shows.

What Other Acts Impressed the Judges?

Antigravity wasn’t the only act to wow the BGT judges during this week’s new episode. The show also featured a familiar face to Got Talent fans — Alfredo Silva, who appeared on AGT as part of Deadly Games and later won AGT: Extreme with his motorbike group Cage Riders.

Alfredo took the BGT stage with his wife Coral to perform a dangerous routine. Alfredo popped a balloon Coral held in her mouth by throwing a knife at it, and he then quickly threw more knives toward her as she dodged them. The pair then did the balloon trick again, this time with a crossbow. The judges gave the duo a standing ovation and sent them through with four “yes” votes.

The judges were also impressed by 20-year-old singer Finley Barrett-Carter, who performed an Elvis Presley cover. Finley earned four “yes” votes to move on. The panel also got a kick out of impressionist Emily Cass’ fake TV advertisements. They chose to send her to the next round.

Another notable audition from this week’s show came from the dance group Playground Boys. Dixon questioned their music choice, but she thought they would make a good boy band. The group earned four “yes” votes to move on.
