Arthur Gunn is not wasting any time getting back to making music. After winning the American Idol comeback, fans were eager to see how the Nepali artist would shake up the competition. He was shockingly eliminated just before making it to the Top 5 the second time around. Now Arthur, whose real name is Dibesh Pokharel is hitting the music studio.

“Did a thing, and this time it happened to be a studio with some special producers, can’t tell ya who it is” he wrote on Instagram. “Well, I’ve been told it’s gonna be out there on all major platforms, so there you go.”

What is Arthur Gunn up to After ‘American Idol’ Elimination?

It appears that after his second stint on American Idol, Arthur got the chance to work with producers in California. He will be putting out a new song very soon. He previously released his album Khoj on March 22 and it is available on all streaming platforms.

Arthur’s song announcement was posted after a few mysterious messages on Instagram.

“Don’t roll your bloodshot eyes at me,” he wrote in one Instagram caption.

This could literally mean anything, but we think he is either referencing existing songs or these might actually be song lyrics in his new song.

“Don’t let the green grass fool ya,” he wrote in another post. This time, a picture of clouds that looks like it was taken out the window of an airplane.

Arthur Previously Spoke About Not Getting a Record Deal After the Show

In a since-deleted Instagram post after being named the runner-up on Season 18 of American Idol, Arthur spoke about not getting a record deal immediately after the show. He went on to record, write, and co-produce his Self-Titled album himself.

“For those of you who are wondering if I received a bunch of money and record deals out of holding this ‘runner up’ title, I haven’t, nothing at all,” he wrote at the time. “I have got tons of requests for live shows, collaboration, and all, it would take half of my career to be responding to that and going out there and to be playing shows for you all.”

It seems like now after competing on American Idol for a second time, more opportunities are presenting themselves for Arthur. He has amassed 316,000 Instagram followers since his first season on the show. Heading to the studio to work with producers is just the beginning for the 23-year-old.

What we have seen happen in the past few seasons of the show is that artists get signed by 19 Recordings. Arthur’s fellow Season 18 American Idol contestant Julia Gargano recently got signed so anything can happen for the singer/songwriter from Witchita, Kansas.
