Future coach of The Voice, Ariana Grande, is set to perform at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday night. Grande will reportedly open the show with The Weeknd.
The pair will be performing the song “Save Your Tears” live for the first time together. Grande was featured on a remix of the Weeknd track, released earlier this year.
Ariana Grande to Perform at iHeartRadio Music Awards
The iHeartRadio Music Awards will air from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles Thursday night. The show will be hosted by Usher, and this will be Grande’s first TV appearance in almost two years. It’s also her first live performance since marrying Dalton Gomez.
Grande retweeted the iHeartRadio account’s announcement of her performance with The Weeknd. The show’s audience will include frontline workers and first responders, as we start to enjoy more and more live performances.
“Usher said to me, ‘I’ve been touring for 20 years and I forgot this energy that this audience has. I forgot why I do this on stage. God, I can’t wait to go on tour,'” John Sykes, iHeartMedia president of entertainment enterprises, told Fox News. He called it “the reconnection between fans and artists.”

Thursday night’s award show will also reportedly feature appearances from Doja Cat, Taylor Swift, and Dua Lipa, among others. Elton John is also set to receive the 2021 iHeartRadio Icon Award, presented by Chris Martin and Lil Nas X.
