‘America’s Got Talent’ Trio T.3 Sings For a Cause with 1aChord
Reading Time: 3 minutes
T.3 and 1aChord are two standout singing groups from America’s Got Talent who came together for one masterful collaboration. Both groups made it through to the live shows this season with 1aChord absolutely stealing the show this week. T.3 will have their first taste of performing in the live shows next week. Until then, we will have their latest cover on repeat.
‘AGT’ Stars T.3 and 1aChord Perform ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ for Charity
T.3 and 1aChord posted a cover of “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from The Lion King. The way that their voices melt together to create one beautiful harmony is astounding. The progression of the final note is just heavenly. We would be fully upset if both groups make it to the finale and do not perform this cover together on stage. The best part about the cover is that they are singing for a cause.
T.3’s Liam Fennecken, Brendan Jacob Smith, and Jim Hogan raise money for different charities each time they post a cover. This week, they are raising money for UpBeat NYC. The charity “uses the pursuit of musical excellence and ensemble performance to bring about positive change in the lives of South Bronx children.” UpBeat NYC takes any money that is donated to provide instruments for children and keep their programs running.
Even though the trios are competing against each other this season, they’ve become great friends. AGT has long been a place where contestants grow bonds and become their own little families. The Curtis Family C-Notes commented heart emojis on the video to show their support.
“When we entered into the @agt experience, we had no idea we’d get to meet and befriend some of the most amazing people. Enter @official1achord!” T.3 wrote on Instagram. “They’re unbelievably talented, and more than deservedly advanced to the #AGT semifinals last night, but perhaps more importantly, they’re incredible humans and we’re honored to sing one of our favorite @disney classics with them.”
The Trio Are Always Singing For a Cause
T.3 met over a year before their AGT audition. Brendan sent Liam and Jim a DM after seeing a few YouTube videos of them singing. They began singing together weekly for 14 months in Brendan’s parents staircase. AGT was the first time they have been able to sing on a big stage. Their rendition of the Panic! At The Disco’s “Into The Unknown” from Frozen 2 had the judges on their feet.
The group has continued to post song covers on social media including their TikTok account with 302,000 followers. They are always singing with a charity in mind. Last week, T.3 posted a cover of “Lost In The Woods” to benefit Trans Lifeline. It’s a non-profit organization that offers direct support to trans people in crisis.
The groups’ July 29 cover of “Massachusetts” by the Bee Gees raised money for the Special Olympics. With each cover they post, their fans can click the link in their bio to donate to each cause. In the past few months since their AGT audition, T.3 has raised money for The Coalition for Rainforest Nations, Broadway Cares, Support Surfside, and NYC Pride.
T.3 has been raising money for charities for each cover that they have posted since they came together last summer. The group has used their social media platform from their first viral “Into the Unknown” cover to help out others in any way that they can. T.3 are already winners on and off the AGT stage. We don’t know just yet what song they will sing in the Quarterfinals, but it will definitely blow the roof off of the Dolby Theatre.
