America’s Got Talent is set to return for Season 17 on May 31, and the show just released an exciting first look video at the new competition. It looks like this season will feature plenty of inspiring performances from talented performers.

‘America’s Got Talent’ Shares Season 17 First Look

All four AGT judges and host Terry Crews appear in the new video promoting Season 17. Simon Cowell can be seen wearing a wrist brace, likely connected to his second electric bike accident earlier this year. He tells viewers that he “didn’t choose Terry’s wardrobe,” which is a bright pink suit.

Howie Mandel also chats with Crews, telling him, “I love what you’re doing with your hair.” Crews jokes that looking at Mandel’s bald head is “like looking in the mirror,” prompting Mandel to wonder if people can tell them apart.

Meanwhile, Heidi Klum says that people auditioning are “more nervous” with a full audience in front of them, and she can sympathize. She jokes, “I sometimes want to wear a diaper, because I’m so nervous I might poop myself.”

Sofia Vergara calls the competition “so inspiring,” as she gets to witness people who are “here with a dream.” The video backs that up by showcasing a few emotional and heartfelt auditions.

The Show Teases Inspiring Acts This Season

The new first look features a sneak peek at some emotional and inspiring acts. In one brief clip, we see a country music group made up of three Black women. One member cries, explaining, “Country music doesn’t always look like us.”

In another clip, Mayyas Dance Crew can be seen performing on stage. The group previously earned the Golden Buzzer on Arabs Got Talent and later appeared on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions. One member says, “Being here is our only chance to prove what Arab women can do.”

The video also teases Crews’ Golden Buzzer. Although the act isn’t shown, Crews is heard saying, “All those bullies are gonna have to watch you succeed.” He can then be seen slamming his hand down onto the buzzer in a dramatic moment.

Be sure to tune in when America’s Got Talent Season 17 premieres on NBC May 31.
