What Has Marlene Been Up to Since the Show?
Marlene took third place on American Idol Season 20 earlier this year. As part of her time on the show, she released the single “Flowers.” Over the summer, the singer signed a major management deal with Madison House and made the move to Los Angeles.
She has also been open about her struggle to find her place in the music industry after the show, saying she feels “misunderstood” and couldn’t help but compare herself to her fellow contestants who are finding success post-Idol.
In recent months, Marlene has performed several shows around the country, including a hometown concert in Normal, Illinois, in August, featuring fellow Idol alums Fritz Hager and Maddie Poppe. She’s also performed in Nashville, where she recently moved. The singer launched a Patreon in August.
