‘American Idol’ Star Gabby Barrett Announces Her Second Studio Album ‘Chapter & Verse’

Gabby Barrett has officially announced her sophomore album. The new record, titled Chapter & Verse, is all set to make its debut on February 2, 2024. Fans received this exciting announcement on November 4 via her Instagram, where she posted a preview of the album cover with the caption, “Chapter & Verse New album out 2.2.24.”

Gabby Barrett has understandably risen to fame since her time on American Idol Season 16. The singer’s lead single from Chapter & Verse, “Glory Days” is currently sitting at No. 30 and steadily climbing the country music charts. Due to this single’s success, fans are really looking forward to the upcoming album. In added, Barrett released another single from the upcoming album, “Cowboy Back,” in October.
Following Barrett’s journey on American Idol, she rose to fame with her debut single “I Hope.” This song reached No. 1 in 2019 and it was even followed up with another No. 1 hit, “The Good Ones” in 2020. In 2022, Barrett made it back on the charts with her song “Pick Me Up.” Her debut album, Goldmine, released in 2020, has even achieved Platinum certification.
News of Barrett’s sophomore album comes during a pretty hectic time for the singer. If you didn’t know, she recently joined Kane Brown on tour, announced another pregnancy, and released both “Glory Days” and “Cowboy Back.”
Besides her musical endeavors, Barrett’s personal life has also been flourishing. She tied the knot with her fellow American Idol alum, Cade Foehner, in October 2019. Their family expanded when they welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in January 2021, and then a baby boy in October 2022. Adding to the joy, Barrett shared her pregnancy news on social media in August 2023, revealing that they are expecting another baby girl.
