‘American Idol’ Alum Scotty McCreery Shares Journey to Fatherhood with New Music Video

Country star Scotty McCreery recently shared never-before-seen clips of his journey to fatherhood in new “It Matters To Her” music video. The said track is McCreery’s third single from his latest album, Same Truck.
Scotty McCreery Premieres “It Matters To Her” Music Video
On October 24, the American Idol winner and his wife Gabi welcomed their first born, Merrick Avery McCreery. In their journey to parenthood, McCreery captured their special moments and compiled the same into a touching digital scrapbook. This turned out to be the official music video of “It Matters to Her.”
According to the singer, the music video features “how much of a rockstar Gabi was during pregnancy.” Truly, “It Matters To Her” is a moving compilation of McCreery’s family milestones.
From learning that he was going to be a father, announcing the good news to his dog Moose, doing ultrasounds, to finally welcoming Avery to the world, the video has made the song more meaningful. McCreery filmed some of the clips at home in Raleigh, North Carolina, as they prepare for Avery’s nursery. They also took videos at North Topsail Beach.
“It Matters To Her” is one of the tracks in McCreery’s latest studio album, Same Truck. Along with co-writers Rhett Akins and Lee Thomas Miller, the said track tackles the lessons McCreery has learned in his four years in marriage. Recently, this single charted in the Top 50 on both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay Charts.
Same Truck: The Deluxe Album Comes Next
Subsequent to the release of the music video, McCreery will soon release an expanded edition of Same Truck. In this forthcoming album, he will feature six additional singles that were not included in the original version.
Apart from “It Matters To Her,” two of McCreery’s new bonus tracks from the album are already accessible for streaming. These are “Nothin’ Right” and “Small Town Story.”
Same Truck: The Deluxe Album will be available in Vinyl, CD, and Digital formats starting Friday, November 18. At the moment, fans can pre-save the deluxe version on multiple streaming platforms. The Vinyl format is also available for pre-order.
