Britain’s Got Talent’s Amanda Holden celebrated her 50th birthday this year, sharing a hilarious photo of one particular present she received from her fellow judge, Simon Cowell.

Sure, Britain’s Got Talent may not air this year, but that won’t stop our favorite TV judges from continuing to poke fun at each other. Amanda Holden, celebrating her 50th birthday this year, shared a present on Instagram, from her Britain’s Got Talent co-star, Simon Cowell.

“Thank you to my hilarious friend @simoncowell for my wonderful gift!,” wrote Holden via her Instagram story, sharing a picture of a walking frame with a note written by the TV boss, attached. The card hanging from one of the handles read: “Dear Amanda, I thought you might need this. Love Simon x.”
Last week, Amanda also took to social media, posting a snapshot of herself walking home from her radio duties at Heart Radio, holding an inflatable red heart and flowers. “I feel like a queen! Thanks @thisisheart for the early #50 birthday celebrations ❤️ I have the biggest smile on my face (and a lot of cake in my tummy!) ❤️,” the TV personality wrote.
Alesha Dixon, also a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, commented on Holden’s post: “You are a queen ❤️”. We’re glad that despite the popular talent show being canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the two are as close as ever.
Simon Cowell Prank Calls This ‘BGT’ Judge
Britain’s Got Talent boss, Simon Cowell is no stranger to pulling pranks on his on-screen colleagues. Back in 2014, Cowell appeared on BBC Radio 1, agreeing to call Amanda Holden, breaking the news that she would only appear on a select number of live shows that year.
“Our idea is you do Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, obviously the final, Tuesdays and Thursdays, we replace you with Cheryl,” Cowell said to Amanda live on air. Unsurprisingly, Holden responded in horror telling Cowell: “Are you joking?”, left shaken up after the call ended.

Simon later admitted to Holden, confessing to the wind-up, leaving Amanda aghast. Later on, as auditions began, photos surfaced of Amanda clearly still upset by the prank. Pictures hilariously captured Holden placing her hands around Simon’s neck on the red carpet of Britain’s Got Talent auditions that year. To this day, we’re still laughing about it!
