All 6 Golden Buzzer Auditions on ‘Canada’s Got Talent’ 2022

Canada’s Got Talent recently aired it second season after ten years off the air. The judges saw some amazing talent, but only six auditions earned the coveted Golden Buzzer, sending them straight to the Semifinals. Let’s look back at the acts who received this honor, and the joyous moments that followed.

1. Shea
This 14-year-old singer from Vancouver performed a beautiful cover of “Like My Father” by Jax while playing guitar, sharing that her parents are her role models. Judges Lilly Singh and Trish Stratus stood up to clap before the performance was even over. Howie Mandel told Shea she has “the poise of somebody twice your age.” Then he stood up to hit the Golden Buzzer for her. Shea celebrated by hugging her mom.
2. GRVMNT
This group of young hip-hop dancers from Vancouver showed off a heartwarming bond before they performed an energetic routine for the judges featuring impressive footwork and amazing acrobatics. Lilly Singh loved it so much, she lifted up her chair afterward. She ended up hitting the Golden Buzzer for the group, telling them she wants to see them “go all the way.” GRVMNT went on to make it to the Finals.
3. Jeanick Fournier
This singer from Quebec shared that she’s a palliative care attendant and mother of two. In her audition, she performed “I Surrender” by Celine Dion, showing off a powerhouse voice that blew the judges away. Host Lindsay Ell was particularly impressed, exclaiming, “I love her!” She stepped out from backstage to give Jeanick a hug and press the Golden Buzzer for her as the audience cheered. Jeanick ended up being named the Canada’s Got Talent winner.
4. Theo & Mila
This duo of teen acrobatic gymnasts from Ontario shared that they dream of performing in Cirque du Soleil one day. In their audition, they performed a stunning routine in which Mila balanced on Theo’s hands as he flipped her through the air. The judges gave them a standing ovation, and the audience chanted for the Golden Buzzer. Trish Stratus liked the performance so much, she did the honors.

5. Stacey Kay
This singer from Ontario previously competed on Season 10 of America’s Got Talent. She shared her desire to be her “full, authentic self.” Stacey owned the stage with a powerhouse performance of “Lady Marmalade” with her band. She even showed off her rapping skills. Howie Mandel called himself “an idiot” for eliminating her from AGT. Kardinal Offishall was so impressed, he stood up to hit the Golden Buzzer. Stacey made it to the Finals.
6. The Renegades
This dance crew represented Toronto on the Canada’s Got Talent stage. They showed off some intense moves in their audition, clearly wowing the judges, who gave them a standing ovation. The panel deliberated along with the host, and they all decided to break the rules and hit the Golden Buzzer together to send the Renegades straight to the Semifinals. The group ended up finishing the season in third place.
