Terry Crews received the best 53rd birthday gift ever by being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Crews had the greatest time unveiling the star with his family by his side on Friday. The America’s Got Talent host told spectators that “the best is yet to come.”

Terry Crews is Honored with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Crews showed off some of his signature dance moves on his Hollywood Walk of Fame star. He posed for pictures with his family and was even joined by his 94-year-old grandmother, Eremelle. His AGT co-star Howie Mandel attended the event to help celebrate and honor all of Crews’s achievements. Tichina Arnold, Crews’s former co-star on Everybody Hates Chris also paid tribute to the actor.

The early days of Crews’s acting career really proved the mantra that there are no small parts. He was able to maximize his screen time most notably in the 2002 comedy Friday After Next. His 2004 breakout role in White Chicks is truly unforgettable. It led Crews to snag roles in six films with Adam Sandler including Cheeseburger Eddy in The Longest Yard.

He became a favorite starring in the Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which is set to premiere its eighth and final season on August 12. Another huge career highlight was working alongside Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Expendables franchise.

“When you’re around the greats, it really helps your career,” Crews said. “I’ve been blessed to work with the best in business and it only makes you better. When you’re around people like Andy Samberg and Sandler and Chris Rock, you can’t lose. It’s like playing on Michael Jordan’s team — you’re going to get a ring.”

Crews Also Celebrated Another Huge Milestone

Before the event, Crews posted an Instagram video running on the treadmill. He pledged to never stop working out and to always stay in shape. He also spoke about another milestone that he hit last week, his 32nd wedding anniversary with his wife, Rebecca King-Crews. Crews posted some throwback wedding photos from their big day.

He wrote a sentimental caption saying Rebecca is “the kindest most beautiful woman” he has ever seen. The couple released their audio memoir called Stronger Together back in April. They detail how their love has survived over the years, even with some of the biggest obstacles thrown their way. The pair have five children together, Naomi, Azriel, Tera, Wynfrey, and Isiah.

Crews was there to take care of Rebecca when she was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer last year. She underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Rebecca is now cancer free and has seen many changes in Crews over the years.

“I watched my husband transform — I have the softer, gentler, kinder Terry now,” Rebecca said. “I’m thankful because our story could have gone another way, had he not decided that we were worth fighting for.”
