America’s Got Talent comedian singer Ben Lapidus has recently released his latest single, “Better Angels.” According to fans, Lapidus has proven that he’s an “emo country boy” with this new song.
Ben Lapidus Releases Newest Single “Better Angels”
Back in late February, Lapidus revealed the cover art of “Better Angels.” As stated by the singer, he’s “gone country” with this latest musical creation. Wearing the usual country boy hat, Lapidus is holding the same in the artwork while slightly smiling.
In February 28, Lapidus posted a video of him on Instagram, singing a snippet of the single. In the upload, he was wearing a cowboy hat and a printed polo matched with a pair of denim jorts.
“Give my love to the ocean / I’ll give your love to the moon / I’m so glad to have loved you, darling / Even if our love came too soon,” he sang. “Give your love to your mama / I’ll give your love to my friends / Our love is running through golden pastures / Darling, our love never ends.”
For those who may not know, Lapidus is a comedy singer and guitarist from America’s Got Talent season 17. Most fans remember him for his infamous performance during the Semi-finals of the competition where he sang a hard rock version of “Parmesan Cheese.” He’s gotten four ‘X’ buzzers at the time and failed to receive enough votes to advance in the contest.
Fans Support Him Amid This Milestone
Upon release of the single, fans are quick to engage with Lapidus in the comments. One particular fan even thanked him for dropping the “Better Angels” on their birthday. On the other hand, some can’t help but say their hilarious take in the song.
“Ben your vocals are impressive as always AND this feels like a cry for help,” one user wrote.
“Better Angels” follows Lapidus’s first single in 2023, “Less Happy More Free.” Meanwhile, “Parmesan Cheese” remains to be his most-streamed single, with over 350,000 plays on Spotify.
