Adam Levine Apparently Wasn’t Invited to Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Wedding

Adam Levine and Blake Shelton had the ultimate bromance after joining The Voice together in the very first season. They’ve shared so many funny moments and smack-talked each other to no end. It was even suspected that Levine and his band Maroon 5 would perform at Shelton’s wedding to Gwen Stefani. This never actually ended up happening as Levine wasn’t even invited to the intimate Oklahoma nuptials.
Adam Levine Fails to Score Wedding Invite From Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani
“Adam wasn’t invited to the wedding and was not given the heads up despite the fact that Blake and Adam used to be as close as brothers when they were both on The Voice together,” a source told Radar.
During an interview with SiriusXM in March, Levine confessed that Shelton and Stefani had not asked him to be the wedding performer just yet. The “Sugar” singer said he would “love to” take on the role but joked that the couple would probably ask Luke Bryan instead. He had just texted the happy couple right before his interview and gushed about their relationship to the camera. It seemed like Levine was going to make the guest list if not perform.
Levine had to find out that the couple got hitched on July 3 online. He wasn’t the only coach from The Voice that wasn’t invited. With its rotating panel of coaches, fans of the show have seen so many celebrities sit in the infamous red chairs season after season. Unfortunately, none of them got to sit and be a part of Shelton and Stefani’s special day.
“It wasn’t just Adam that wasn’t invited. Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Shakira, Usher, Pharrell Williams, Miley Cyrus, and new host Ariana Grande were not invited either,” the source added.
Who Performed at the Wedding?
Cyrus was another famous friend of the couple that expressed a desire to be their wedding performer. It turned into a fun game to wait and see who the couple would actually choose. Stefani joked in an interview that the couple couldn’t afford Cyrus. Instead of hiring one of their famous friends as a performer, the couple opted to dance to tunes from DJ Lucy Wrubel at the reception.
The wedding was for 40 of Shelton and Stefani’s closest friends and family members. The Voice host Carson Daly officiated the ceremony and has been friends with the bride and the groom years before doing the show together. Daly’s family was also in attendance along with Stefani’s parents and three sons.
