We’ve watched their engagement closely, gushed over their flirting on The Voice, and wondered if they tied the knot secretly. After about nine months, everyone’s favorite coaches from The Voice have said their “I dos”and we couldn’t be more excited for them!
After six years together, The Voice couple tied the knot on Saturday, July 3 at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. But, we totally knew it was coming since the Johnston County Clerk confirmed that Shelton and Stefani applied for their marriage license last week.
In Oklahoma, once your marriage license has been issued, couples have 10 days from the date to tie the knot within the state. They were reportedly married over the weekend in the chapel on the property.
Some super fans thought that Shelton and Stefani had already tied the knot in secret. On June 11, Stefani totally hinted at her bridal shower on instagram. She posted a photo in she which alluded to a wedding in the near future for her and Shelton.
The text within the photo reads “SHE’S GETTING MARRIIIEEEEED.” Shelton and Stefani fans rushed to the comments to share just how happy they were for the couple.
Shelton and Stefani began dating in 2015, and after five years of dating were engaged in October 2020. “@blakeshelton yes please!” said Stefani in her instagram post of the engagement on October 27, 2020.
We hope Shelton talks about their marriage in the upcoming season of The Voice. Stefani has not returned to the showsince winning season 19. We’re hoping that their new marriage status will make it so Stefani is not a stranger to the show that introduced her to her “happily ever after.”
Meanwhile, Shelton is still going strong as the coach that has stayed in the red chair the longest. This season, he will coach alongside fellow newlywed Ariana Grande as well as John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson.
