America’s Got Talent’s audience and judges were stunned in 2018 when an unbothered five year old stepped on stage and sang a Frank Sinatra song. Since then, Sophie Fatu’s audition clip continues to go viral online, but it’s been nearly 8 years, where is she now?
Sophie Fatu’s Viral Audition Solidified Her Career
In 2018, the singer walked on to the America’s Got Talent stage, filled with excitement. Judges could not stop gushing over how cute she was in her little pink dress.
After chatting with Heidi Klum about taking a plane for the first time, who her favorite judge is, and how many people are in the audience, Sophie sang “My Way” by Frank Sinatra.
After the performance, the audience and judges gushed over Sophie once again. Not only was she adorable, she was extremely talented!
Simon Cowell even joked saying that he wanted her to date his son. From there, Sophie earned four yeses from judges. She later returned in the Judge Cuts round, where she sang “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra. Unfortunately, she was eliminated from the competition soon after.
Where is Sophie in 2026?
After America’s Got Talent, Sophie went on to act in multiple Barbie commercials, model dresses, and even went on to play Mel Gibson’s daughter in the film, Last Looks. Throughout it all, she maintained a consistent song publishing schedule on social media.
In current day, Sophie is 13 years old and is still singing on a large stage. She is currently combining two of her passions into one, singing and gymnastics as part of all-youth professional circus company, Le Petit Cirque. She’s the circus’ singer, but can also be seen learning aerial acrobatics on social media. Sophie is also close friends with AGT All Stars winner Aidan Bryant.
In June 2026, Sophie won Kid Influencer of The Year at the recent National Social Media Awards. Sophie, and her mother Victoria Volz, continue to consistently share videos on social media. Their videos feature a mix of vlog-style life updates, songs, and more.
