There has been a change in the America’s Got Talent Quarterfinals lineup for Season 20. Astrid Jorgensen, who made it to the live shows with her unique act, has apparently withdrawn from the competition. AGT has announced that bodybuilder Mike Munz will take her place.
Mike Munz Replaces Astrid Jorgensen in AGT Live Shows
For those who may not remember, Astrid Jorgensen auditioned for AGT Season 20 with her viral “Pub Choir” act, in which she taught the show’s audience how to sing Toto’s “Africa” together. Astrid received three “yes” votes from the judges to move on.
Astrid was chosen as one of the 44 acts to compete in the Quarterfinals. However, it appears she has withdrawn from the competition for some undisclosed reason. On Monday, AGT announced on X (formerly Twitter) that bodybuilder Mike Munz had joined the Top 44.
The show linked to a new list of the Season 20 Quarterfinalists, and a fan on Reddit noticed that Astrid was no longer among them. According to TV Insider, Astrid was scheduled to perform in Week 4 of the Quarterfinals, on September 9, so it’s probably safe to assume that Mike will perform that same week.
Mike auditioned for Season 20 with a performance that showed off interesting muscle movements like we’ve never seen before. He earned four “yes” votes from the judges, but he was not initially chosen to go to the live shows.

Why Did Astrid Withdraw from the Competition?
As of this writing, it’s not clear why Astrid Jorgensen is no longer performing in the AGT Season 20 Quarterfinals. She doesn’t appear to have shared a reason on her Instagram account, instead focusing on her current tour and upcoming book, out September 30.
It’s possible she withdrew to focus more on the aforementioned projects, although the list of dates for her tour does include a break during September, which would have allowed her to compete in the remainder of the AGT Season.
