Earlier this month, Beckham reportedly surprised a group of kids attending the same afterschool program he attended when he was younger. The singer gifted all 30 kids with new guitars, in partnership with Gibson Gives and Free Guitars 4 Kids.
Beckham spoke to the kids at Singh Center for the Arts, saying in a statement, “One of my most cherished memories is when my grandmother bought me my first guitar. Knowing the impact music can have on someone’s life, especially my own, I want to give these kids the same opportunity and encourage them to dream big.”
The singer also posted photos from the event on Instagram, writing, “When I walked in the room and I saw all the kids with the guitars on their laps, picking and strumming and smiling, it lit up my world.”
He added that he hopes one of the children in the group grows up “to be a songwriter, a player, a producer or maybe even an artist.” As Beckham wrote, “The world is so much bigger than the desert we’re from and I hope these guitars will help them get out there and see it.”

The album also features the single “Everything I Need.” Beckham recently released a music video to accompany the song. The singer is planning to embark on several tour stops in Europe and Canada next year. He kicked off the tour in Australia earlier this year, followed by dates around the United States.
