If you’re worried that Howie Mandel is getting tired of his job as an America’s Got Talent judge, don’t be. In a new interview, Mandel gushed about how much he enjoys sitting on the panel, even as he enters his 15th season on the show.
Howie Mandel Loves Being a Judge on America’s Got Talent
Mandel told Decider that it’s been “wonderful” judging on both America’s Got Talent and Canada’s Got Talent. He happens to be the longest-running judge on AGT, as he’s about to embark on his 15th season on the panel. That’s because he enjoys the show so much.
“I will continue on AGT until they don’t invite me to the party anymore,” Mandel said. “I’ve been there 15 seasons and, before that, I was watching it right from the beginning. I love to be entertained, and I don’t even have to understand what I’m looking at. I’m scrolling day and night and watching clips of things that aren’t even in English. I’m fascinated by people showing up and doing stuff.”
Mandel joked that he would be doing the same thing at home even if he wasn’t getting paid for it, saying, “The only difference between what I’ve been hired to do and what I love doing is they make me wear pants and they give me a paycheck.”

Mandel Teases This Season of the Show
America’s Got Talent is heading into Season 19 this week. In his interview with Decider, Mandel teased that “this season is funnier, more exciting, weirder than anything I have ever seen,” adding, “I was more dismayed, more disgusted, more amazed than I have ever been with any one season of the show.”
Mandel also spoke fondly of his fellow judges (Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara), saying they “genuinely enjoy each other and socialize outside and after and before the show.” He said that even though they don’t always agree, “We’re just four really authentic people who speak their minds and have a lot of respect and love for each other.”
When asked if he would be open to doing another season of AGT: Fantasy League, Mandel responded, “Of course. I’m a winner. I won.” (The winning act, the Ramadhani Brothers, competed on Mandel’s dream team during the spinoff show earlier this year.)
