Jennifer Lopez has officially set the record straight about her husband, Ben Affleck’s, constant moody paparazzi photos while walking the red carpet at the 2024 Golden Globes. Affleck was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his film Air, and Lopez emphasized that despite his dreary public image lately, the actor is doing just fine.
Lopez Says Affleck Is Happy Despite His Resting Paparazzi Face
Lopez wants fans to stop worrying about Affleck’s constant paparazzi photos. While walking the Golden Globes red carpet, Lopez addressed the nonstop speculation about her husband’s moody public image.
When asked by sources about Affleck’s facial expressions going viral, Lopez laughed it off.
“Ben is doing all right – you don’t need to worry about Ben, let me just tell you,” she said. “He is good, he is happy, he is here, he is nominated.”
Lopez explained Affleck doesn’t understand why people read into his resting face so much.
“He’s like, ‘I’m chilling. I don’t understand what people are so pressed for,'” Lopez said. “They don’t pick up on my face.”
Earlier in the evening on the red carpet, Lopez expressed her pride and excitement over Affleck’s nomination. She shared how happy she was to support him at the Globes and noted how much she loved his acclaimed film. Lopez emphasized her gladness to be there and celebrate Affleck’s career achievement. Though Affleck didn’t take home the Globe, Lopez still stunned in a glamorous pink gown.

While Affleck’s downtrodden demeanor in photos has ignited worry among fans, Lopez wants everyone to know her husband is faring just fine. According to JLo, the actor pays no mind to the endless scrutiny of his facial expressions.
Lopez herself even poked fun at the phenomenon back in February 2023, when she posted a still from Affleck’s film Air on Instagram with a cheeky caption about his “happy face.”
Clearly the high-profile couple doesn’t take the viral memes too seriously. As Lopez confirmed, Affleck is happy and enjoying the awards season spotlight with his supportive wife by his side.
