The Internet Thinks Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber Are Shading Selena Gomez — Here’s Why

Apparently, fans think that Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber’s alleged mean response to Selena Gomez’s TikTok story. As the rumor unexpectedly blew out of proportion, Jenner was forced to defend her side against haters.
Here’s a quick recap for those who may not know. Last Tuesday, the “Who Says” singer posted a video of herself on TikTok, telling fans that she “accidentally” laminated her eyebrows too much. Hours later, Jenner uploaded a selfie on her Instagram story, placing a text over her eyebrow. The words read “this was an accident???” Immediately after this, the socialite then posted a screenshot of herself and Bieber on FaceTime, with both of them moving closer to the camera to zoom their eyebrows. These virtual instances caused the internet to throw hate to the two models, badmouthing them for being “childish.”

A TikTok user named @devotedly.yours took the time to create a content and discuss the present controversy. According to her, Jenner is definitely “shading” Gomez over their Instagram followers. She then called the whole thing “so dumb.”
Subsequently, Selena’s fans have found themselves agreeing to the user’s theory. Jenner, on the other hand, came across the video and commented on the same to deny the accusations.
“This is reaching,” Jenner wrote. “No shade towards Selena ever and i didn’t see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly.”
Within just two hours, Gomez also engaged in the TikTok video to inform fans that there’s really no beef between them. As mentioned by the singer, the allegations are too “unnecessary.”
“Agreed @kyliejenner,” she wrote. “It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!”
Despite such clarification, fans seemed more than convinced that Jenner’s posts were intentionally done to attack Gomez. They suspect that the socialite was triggered by the fact that Gomez was, at the time, near to surpassing her status as the most followed woman on Instagram. On top of this, Bieber’s inclusion in the issue further ignited the speculations.
Bieber and Gomez have been pitted against each other since 2018 because of their connection to pop superstar Justin Bieber. To briefly encapsulate, Hailey, now the wife of “Love Yourself” singer, got engaged to Justin only months after he and Gomez broke up. Since then, their fanbases have established an intense rivalry against one another.

However, while Gomez has attempted to shut down the eyebrow issue days ago, her subsequent actions called the attention of some internet users. On TikTok, a video of Hailey Bieber pretending to gag at the mention of Taylor Swift resurfaced.
In the clip, Method Man defines a rap battle as having “some of the meanest lyrics about a celebrity since Taylor Swift’s last album.” Hailey then pointed a finger her mouth and faked a gag.
“So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game,” Gomez replied.
Additionally, Gomez replied “I love you” in response to a video slamming Jenner and Bieber for being “nepo babies” and acting like “mean girls.”
