‘The Masked Singer’ Reveals 3 New Costumes Ahead of Season 9 Premiere

Fan favorite celebrity guessing game The Masked Singer has finally revealed costumes ahead of its premiere on February 15. Now, even without major clues, fans are already guessing who might be the celebrities behind the gigantic masks.
The Masked Singer Season 9 Costumes Include Gnome, Mustang, Medusa
Amid the looming season 9 premiere, The Masked Singer has given fans satisfying teasers to stick their attention to the show. Specifically, the series has disclosed the official look of three its costumes namely Gnome, Mustang, and Medusa.
The show initially revealed Mustang, a sleek back and sizzling horse beaded with red flames. Wearing a high-heeled boots, this costume gives off a fashionable and fiery vibe. On Instagram, the show described Mustang as a “globe trotter.”
Soon after this reveal, The Masked Singer posted Medusa’s official look. Medusa is largely teal-colored, with a mask of chains to cover her mouth. Similar to what was envisioned in her as a mythological character, her hair is made of snakes. Furthermore, she is wearing a purple footwear decorated with gold and gem designs.
Later on, the series revealed the final costume design for Gnome. The same is donning a green hat that appears to be gnome’s house in the forest. Moreover, he has thick eyebrows, with long mustache and lengthy orange beard with braids. His big pointy ears have completed his look.
While the show hasn’t revealed other costumes, it has nevertheless gave fans a glimpse of the characters that will perform this season. Some other characters are Jackalope, Doll, and Mantis. Axolotl and Macaw will also be gracing the series for season nine.
Fans Play Detective Amid Early Announcement
After the revelation of the three costumes, fans were then quick to guess the artist behind the masks. Particularly, most fans believe that Mustang could be a famous pop star.
“Katy Perry is my guess because sang the song called “Dark Horse”, and that horse is dark. Get it?” one user wrote.
While this makes sense for now, some fans think that Mustang could also be Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato. Jordin Sparks is also among The Masked Singer‘s fans’ choices.
On the other hand, fans are hoping that Medusa might be Christina Aguilera or Pink. However, it seems that Medusa is giving off a too-hard-to-guess vibe as others are also considering Victoria Justice and Melanie Martinez.
For Gnome, fans admitted that the celebrity behind such costume would be “very hard” to know. Believing that Gnome is a male celebrity, others wish that it could be Danny Devito or Martin Short.
Apparently, all these guesses will remain guesses unless the respective celebrities unmask themselves during elimination. The Masked Singer premieres on February 15 on Fox.
