Clorox Sends Howie Mandel a Personalized Container of Wipes
Reading Time: 2 minutes
America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel took to social media this week to share a gift he received from Clorox. The company sent him a personalized container of disinfecting wipes. Mandel has been open about his experience with obsessive-compulsive disorder and germaphobia.
Howie Mandel Receives Personalized Clorox Wipes
Mandel posted clips on TikTok and Instagram showing off a canister of Clorox wipes he apparently received from the company. Instead of the Clorox logo, the container has “Howie” on it. Underneath, it reads, “clean it.”
But the best part is that the canister also features artwork of Mandel, including his bald head and round glasses. The lid is even bedazzled. As Mandel wrote on the video, “I won germaphobe 2023.” Mandel kept the joke going on Twitter, writing in the caption, “I’m so overwhelmed. @Clorox Thanks to everyone who voted.”
The official Clorox account even responded to Mandel’s Instagram post, writing, “This is ‘Howie’ clean it.” Mandel responded to the comment, writing, “campaign idea.” He added a clapping hands emoji.

Mandel Has Been Open About His Germaphobia
Mandel has been open about his experience with obsessive-compulsive disorder and germaphobia for many years. He even wrote a book about it in 2009 called Here’s the Deal: Don’t Touch Me. He’s also been known to give fist bumps instead of shaking people’s hands.
“I didn’t realize until really late in life how important [mental health treatment] was,” Mandel said in an interview about the topic last year. “Up until that time, there wasn’t the title. I thought my struggle was my normal.”
During Mental Health Awareness Month (which takes place every May), Mandel partnered with the therapy company NOCD for their #KnowOCD campaign to help end the stigma associated with the disorder.
Mandel is currently judging AGT: All-Stars, which airs Monday nights at 8/7c on NBC.
