The self-proclaimed king of The Voice has given a very unique Christmas present for Jennifer Hudson and her son. Blake Shelton revealed that he gifted Hudson and her son a goat and bought it a first-class plane ride to Chicago.
Blake Shelton Had a Goat Fly First-Class to Get to Jennifer Hudson’s Home
The Voice season 22 finale is currently underway and with the show’s season end, comes a new show for Shelton. Barmageddon has officially started airing and the country singer makes a promotional guest appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
While reminiscing about Hudson’s time as a coach on The Voice, the two discussed the topic of Christmas gifts. Hudson brought up the Christmas gift that the country singer gave to her and her son which is indeed unexpected. What brought up the gift was Hudson’s son David, 13, who asked Shelton if he could get them a goat. Shelton laughed at the request and said it was appropriate because he was “the country guy,” but humored David nonetheless.
“I remember at some point I asked you I said, “I really want to get him a goat for Christmas,” Shelton said. “So I got him a pygmy goat, but the season was over and I wanted to see y’all so I had to like, get an airplane to fly this frickin’ goat from Oklahoma to Chicago.”
After getting the goat a first-class plane ride, the Hudson’s certainly got a big surprise to see Shelton at their door with a goat in hand. The mother and son named their new pet Prancer, and that made it one of the most memorable Christmases they’ve had.

Shelton Has a Holiday Tradition of Cooking a Dome Shaped Dish Made of Pasta With his Wife
The Voice coach also revealed during his guest appearance his holiday traditions and activities with his wife Gwen Stefani. Shelton shared that he and his wife spend a lot of time cooking in the kitchen during the holidays.
Shelton revealed that pasta dishes are their go-to when it comes to holiday dishes and it always makes their Christmas dinner spectacular. One dish in particular, the “Timpano pasta dome,” is a combination of different kinds of pasta in the shape of a dome.
“You cook it in the oven and you take it out and turn it over and you take the bowl off and you’ve got this dome that looks like this big round crust thing. There’s heaven inside of it. There’s all kinds of stuff and it’s so good,” Shelton said.
The last original coach on The Voice went on to describe the dishes that are the result of his wife’s cooking process. The dome dish in particular has got a lot of fans curious and ready to try making it for themselves this coming Christmas.
