On Saturday, Paul shared a photo of himself on Twitter in which he can be seen elevating his right leg, which has an ice pack on the knee. There are crutches next to him. He smiles and gives a thumbs up for the camera.
As Paul wrote in the tweet, he has a “torn meniscus, MCL & potentially ACL.” He shared that he sustained the injury “halfway through the match” and promised to keep fans updated about the situation.
According to ESPN, Paul’s match against Reigns was for the Undisputed WWE Universal championship. Reigns won the match after 25 minutes, but Paul received praise for his performance, as it was only his third match as a pro wrestler.

Paul Signed a WWE Contract This Year
In June of this year, Paul signed a contract with the WWE, after previously winning a tag team match with The Miz during WrestleMania earlier. Before that, Paul pursued a boxing career, even going up against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2021.
Also in 2021, Paul appeared on Season 5 of The Masked Singer as Grandpa Monster. In his first appearance, he performed “Mambo No. 5” by Lou Bega. He was eliminated and unmasked after his second appearance, following a performance of “Bad Reputation” by Joan Jett.
Although Paul didn’t win his recent match against Roman Reigns, he did show off a pretty noteworthy move when he jumped onto Reigns while taking a video with his phone. As he shouted before jumping, “You’re going viral, Roman!”
