The Miz Reveals Logan Paul as WWE Wrestlemania Tag Team Partner in Epic Match
During Monday night’s Miz TV show on WWE Raw, The Miz was interrupted by WWE Legend Rey Mysterio and his son, Dominik. Since the Mysterios crashed the show, The Miz challenged them to a showdown in Wrestlemania 38. While challenging the father-son duo, The Miz revealed his event tag team partner as Logan Paul. The crowd went wild when Paul met his partner on stage. The announcement ended with The Miz and Paul attacking father-son duo The Mysterios.
While fans in the crowd seemed excited for the news, it seems like fans online have split opinions. Some are excited to see Paul’s debut into the WWE, while others are afraid The Miz is going to lose the match because of it. Even with the criticism, The Miz is staying positive on his Twitter page. He reshared videos from WWE‘s official account stating that their team should be called the winners from now on.
Fans Thought Cody Rhodes Would Return to WWE as The Miz’s Partner
Many fans believed that The Miz was going to pair up with professional wrestler Cody Rhodes. Before the wrestler announced his tag team partner, he teased that the wrestler is “dashing” and from a fighting family. It had been rumored that Rhodes would return to the WWE franchise, so it seemed like a no-brainer to many fans.
Rhodes was spotted at the arena, so many thought he would be announced as The Miz’s partner. Instead, such wasn’t the case. The episode of WWE Raw shared multiple references to Rhodes, so many fans believe he will still return to WWE in 2022.
The Miz certainly knew how to get the attention of the WWE universe for this announcement. After name dropping Rhodes, Paul just had the most epic welcome to the WWE stage because no one expected it. It’s unsure how well Paul will do in the ring at this time. He’s being mentored by one of the biggest names in the sport, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he does well.
