‘The Masked Singer’ Recap: Robo Girl Is Dethroned on Muppets Night

The Masked Singer Season 8 returned on Wednesday for Muppets Night, as last week’s reigning Queen Robo Girl was dethroned and unmasked as actress and singer Kat Graham. Meanwhile, new contestants the Lambs moved on to the next episode, and Beetle was unmasked as Jerry Springer.
Lambs Dethrone Robo Girl on ‘The Masked Singer’
Wednesday’s episode opened with a performance of “Rainbow Connection” from Kermit the Frog and panelists Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke. They were joined by guest panelist Miss Piggy to give their thoughts on tonight’s performances.
First up was Robo Girl, who was named Queen of The Masked Singer last week. This time, she took the stage to perform “Bohemian Rhapsody” by (appropriately) Queen. She teased that she’s both a singer and an actor who has been in at least six movies. Guesses included Sydney Sweeney, Shay Mitchell, and Keke Palmer. Missy Piggy even guessed it was “moi.”
Robo Girl had some tough competition when the three Lambs took the stage. They called themselves “Beverly Hills besties” before performing “Hot N Cold” by Katy Perry. Jenny McCarthy said it was her favorite performance of the night. The trio also teased that they’ve worked with Paul McCartney. Guesses included the Kardashians, Haim, and the Chicks.
The episode ended with a Battle Royale between Robo Girl and the Lambs, singing “Call Me” by Blondie. The panelists voted to send the Lambs to the next episode, meaning Robo Girl had to be unmasked. She turned out to be Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham, who happened to have recently hung out with Nicole Scherzinger.

Beetle Unmasked as Jerry Springer
This week, a new contestant called Beetle also took the stage for the first time. He teased that he’s a household name before performing “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra and telling the panelists that he’s won several Emmys.
Beetle received the least amount of votes from the studio audience, which meant he had to be unmasked before the Battle Royale. Guesses from the panel about his identity included Rowan Atkinson and Mike Myers. However, only Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke correctly guessed that it was talk show host Jerry Springer.
In the next episode, the Lambs will return to defend their title of Queens of The Masked Singer, going up against two new contestants. Will they earn a spot in the Semifinals, to go up against Harp? Could they end up being the first group act to win the show? We’ll have to wait and see.
