RuPaul’s Drag Race Cast Also Expresses Gratitude
Leslie Jordan appeared several times in RuPaul’s Drag Race. He first sat as guest judge in season 5 of the franchise. He then returned as guest director of Moulin Ru: The Rusical.
RuPaul’s Drag Race cast showed their gratefulness as well, sending good words for the actor. Michelle Visage added a photo on her Instagram feed to pay tribute. Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews posted on their respective Instagram stories.
Meanwhile, RuPaul hasn’t posted on his social media, but Drag Race’s Instagram and Twitter uploaded a photo of him and Jordan.
“Rest in peace, Leslie Jordan,” Drag Race‘s caption reads. “Thank you for the countless laughs and for sharing your spirit with us all.”
Drag divas Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova found out about Jordan’s passing when they were speaking to Out in an exclusive interview.
“It’s a tragedy but I know he’s up there twerking with Ruth Bader Ginsburg and singing with the angels,” Katya said.
For Trixie Mattel, Jordan’s death is a “bummer,” but she’s comforted by the fact that she lived at the same time as the actor. As the queer icon that Jordan was, his influence in the LGBTQ+ community will definitely not be forgotten.
