‘The Masked Singer’ Clip Adds Fuel to Tom Brady Rumors, Reveals Possible Costume

The Masked Singer just keeps adding more fuel to the rumors that NFL star Tom Brady will appear on the new season. A new clip from Season 8 features judge Ken Jeong guessing that Brady is behind one of the costumes.
The Masked Singer Clip Supports Tom Brady Rumors
Earlier this month, fans of The Masked Singer started sharing the theory that Tom Brady would be under one of the masks this season and might even win the entire show. Brady was recently absent from Buccaneers training camp, which some fans attributed to his possible time on the show.
Then this week, TMZ Sports obtained a clip from the new season, in which judge Ken Jeong shares his thoughts on the identity of a contestant wearing a birdlike costume. The show hasn’t officially revealed this season’s costumes, but TMZ calls the character Hummingbird.
Jeong thinks the secret star is a “football legend,” at first guessing Peyton Manning. Then he suggests that it could be Brady, saying, “He just got fined for not showing up to training camp because he is here on The Masked Singer.”
We should probably take Jeong’s guess with a grain of salt, considering he doesn’t have the best track record for guessing stars. However, it’s interesting that The Masked Singer Instagram account posted a link to TMZ’s article on their stories.

Brady Denies He Was on the Show
On Monday, Brady took to Twitter to tell his followers that he “wasn’t on the masked singer last week.” However, TMZ points out that the show wrapped filming on August 20, and Brady finally showed up for Buccaneers training two days later after an 11-day absence.
Whether or not the rumors are true, the show seems to really be taking advantage of it. Last week, the Instagram page shared a video highlighting a headline about Brady’s rumored involvement, as well as shots of a football trophy and a goat. The caption reads, “This news is GOATing out of hand…”
This isn’t the first time a season of The Masked Singer has gotten people talking before the premiere. Last season, news of Rudy Giuliani’s unmasking leaked and caused controversy. The show teased his appearance for several weeks before his final reveal.
Season 8 will premiere Wednesday, September 21, at 8/7c on FOX.
