Blake Shelton Will Headline Twin Cities Summer Jam This July

Blake Shelton will headline Twin Cities Summer Jam this summer. The country singer announced on social media that he will perform on July 23 as tickets will go on sale this Friday. This will mark the first time Shelton is participating at the event. He joins other music acts such as American Idol alum Kane Brown, Trace Adkins, and Nelly.
Twin Cities Summer Jam is Minnesota’s largest outdoor musical festival. The event takes place at the famous Canterbury Park and has seen big music stars like Carrie Underwood take the stage. The three day event was founded in 2019 and brings together music of different genres throughout the celebration. The organizer’s mission is to bring the best music outdoors for fans to have a special experience. The first year saw an attendance of 35,000.
This will be Shelton’s second festival during the summer. The singer also recently announced that he will be headlining the Country Summer Music Festival this upcoming June. Since 2021 Shelton has scaled back touring. The singer has stated that with his The Voice duties he has struggled to maintain balance. Since 2013 Shelton has only played around 25 concerts per year. Shelton’s 2021 tour Friends and Heroes was only for 17 days. With news of The Voice only filming one season per year going forward, perhaps fans will see more of Shelton on the road.
Blake Shelton on the Las Vegas Strip
If Shelton sticks to his scaled back touring schedule, it is possible that the “Come Back As A Country Boy” singer may join other talent show judges who are currently taking over the Las Vegas strip. Fellow country star Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and John Legend all have Vegas residencies. Shelton’s wife Gwen Stefani recently wrapped up her Just a Girl Vegas concert after three years.
With 27 number one country music singles and his 2021 album Body Language, Shelton will have plenty of material to put on a grand show. As of now fans can experience Shelton in Sin City when The Voice coach brings his bar and live music venue Ole Red to Vegas. The $30 million four-story bar will be Shelton’s fifth location and the largest one yet. Ole Red is expected to open in 2023.
