American Idol winner Chayce Beckham has made the move to Nashville! The singer posted an update for fans on his Instagram page letting them know how he’s settling in and that he’s been working on new music.

Beckham previously lived in California. People reported in May that he was planning to move to Nashville with his friend and fellow Season 19 contestant Graham DeFranco. Since the move, Beckham has wasted no time getting to work on songwriting.

Chayce Beckham Gets Back to Songwriting

On Sunday, Beckham posted a photo of himself playing guitar on Instagram, writing that he’s “all settled in, back to writing songs every morning.” He told fans, “I’m really excited to get these tracks recorded and released for y’all.”

He said moving across the country and being away from his family was a “whirlwind,” adding, “I’m so grateful for all the people I’ve met this past year who have become my family, for making me feel so welcome here in Nashville, and guiding me along the way and helping me stay grounded.”

Beckham admitted that “it gets a bit lonely,” but his “Old Johnny records” (presumably referring to Johnny Cash) have kept him company and inspired him to write songs. He told fans, “I’m happy, healthy, and doing well. I feel like I just needed to check in with y’all, well, because I love you!”

How Does Chayce Like Nashville?

The singer said fans would be hearing from him more now that he’s settled in. He recently shared that Takamine Guitars sent him two new pieces as a housewarming gift. He joked, “This is about all I have in the house at the moment but I’m ok with that.”

Beckham has also been fishing. On Monday, he posted on his Instagram story about catching fish with fellow American Idol alum Jimmie Allen. The show’s judge Luke Bryan has also invited Beckham to go fishing with him.

The singer also has plans to tour with the band Three Doors Down in September, appearing in three cities. We can’t wait to hear what comes of his latest songwriting.
