Luke Islam made quite a splash on tonight’s episode of America’s Got Talent. We’ve been waiting all season to see the new judge Julianne Hough hit that Golden Buzzer and we’re glad she waited for Luke. He sang She Used To Be Mine from Waitress and killed! This tween can sing like he’s on Broadway but he’s just a kid.

1. Who Is Luke Islam?
Luke Islam is a 12 years old singer who in New York City and has been reletively unkown up until tonight. The kid’s got some serious pipes for someone who isn’t even technically a teenager yet.

He is also a member of the Manhattan-based Wingspan Arts non-profit group. It’s basically an organization that cultivates the next generation of Broadway talent. They were so proud they posted this on Twitter:

He recently performed in The Cast Recording Experience 2019 for The Broadway Star Project along with young singer Gianna Harris. They sang The Last Night of the World from Miss Saigon. Damn this boy can sang. No that’s not a typo. He sings so good he sangs.

He also competed in the Broadway musical Waitress‘ Karaoke contest. It was hosted by Jason Mraz and Tiffany Mann, who know a thing or two about that show since they worked on it. His rendition was so good that Waitress posted it on their Instagram.

He doesn’t have much of a following on social media. Like, hardly any at all. That’s because before tonight he was just a 12-year-old kid with dreams of Broadway.
