‘The X Factor UK’ Nominated For The National TV Awards
ITV Meanwhile, over in Britain, The X Factor UK was nominated for the National Television Awards for best Talent Show against The Voice UK and Britain’s Got Talent. Also Simon Cowell was nominated for best TV judge along with David Walliams and Will.i.Am. Ant and Dec also got a nod for best TV hosts. It goes to show you that these types of shows are taken much more seriously in Europe than they are here.

I’m not sure why. Talent competition shows are extremely popular here as they are in Britain, and yet they get not respect here and not nearly the press coverage they do there. I’m not sure why it is. The British have an unfair reputation of being snobbish when the truth is that we here in America are much more snobbish about entertainment. Hence why comedies rarely win Academy Awards.
I’m not sure who I want to win. Simon is the best but best show? The X Factor is pretty good but Britain’s Got Talent is amazing. Who do you think should win? You can vote here.
