Former X Factor star, Tom Mann is currently grieving the unexpected loss of his fiancé, Dani Hampson. Hampson reportedly passed away hours before their wedding ceremony.
Tom Mann’s Fiancé Passes Away on Their Wedding Day
X Factor star, Tom Mann has spoken out about his fiancés death on Instagram. On June 20, the singer shared a photo of his fiancé and their eight month old son, Bowie. Within his heart felt caption, he revealed that Dani Hampson passed away the morning of their wedding.
“What was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives ended in irreversible heartbreak. I feel like I have cried an ocean,” he wrote. “We never made it to the altar; or got to say our vows, or dance our first dance, but I know you know that you were my entire world and the best thing that has ever happened to me, Danielle.”
The singer acknowledged that he will continue to wear his ring as a sign of his unconditional love to her, but he is completely heartbroken. He’s mustering up all the strength he has to take care of their son. Within his caption, he vows to be the best parent he can to Bowie.
Tom tributes his wife, by explaining that she was a beautiful and incredible person, inside and out. He finished the caption out noting that he is now grieving and “will be for a very, very long time.”
At this time, Hampson’s cause of death is unknown. Reports state that the 34 year old dancer had no apparent health issues. Days before her death, Hampson shared a photo of Tom and Bowie. This couple was originally set to wed in September 2020, but rescheduled due to the coronavirus.
The Spice girls are among the celebrities that have joined Tom in tributing his fiancé. They shared a photo of the dancer from their 2019 Spice World tour to spread their “love and strength” to Tom. Lewis Capaldi and Ellie Goulding have also sent their condolences to Tom. Reports state that Hampson worked with several artists during her career as a dancer. Her last major performance was in Harry Styles’s 2021 “Treat People With Kindness” music video.
Tom Mann auditioned for the X Factor in series 11 and became part of the boy band, Stereo Kicks. They finished the competition out in fifth place and signed a deal with James Grant Music in 2015. After releasing their debut single in the same year, the group split about a year later. While other band members found a place in another group, Tom continued on as a solo artist. Tom reportedly began dating Hampson in 2015.
