Third Time’s The Charm? Will Mara Win The Voice 2023?

Mara Justine was actually pretty well known in the talent show world before taking The Voice stage in September. Her time on the national stage actually began when she was only 11 years old, on America’s Got Talent. On Season 9, Mara auditioned, singing “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls. The judges absolutely loved Mara, unanimously voting her into the next round.

In the next rounds, she performed Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing,” Katy Perry’s “Unconditionally,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway,” and “Perfect” by P!NK. Unfortunately both America and the judges didn’t vote her into the Top 6.

Four years after America’s Got Talent, Mara took on American Idol, at 15 years old. In her New York audition, she sang “Love on the Brain” by Rihanna. The judges once again voted her through to the next round unanimously.

In the next rounds, she sang “Run to You” by Whitney Houston, “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten, “This is Me” by Keala Settle and finally, “Love on The Brain” by Rihanna, again. She finished in the round before the Top 6.

Her Journey on The Voice

Now, at 21 years old, Mara Justine has won over America. When she first took The Voice stage, she impressed with a rendition of “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” by Elton John. She was a four-chair turn, but really had to decide between coaches Niall Horan and John Legend. Horan and Legend both fought hard for this singer. Legend even harmonized with her to “All of Me” to prove that he should be her coach.

Mara joined Team Legend, and competed in the Battle Round with “Son of a Preacher Man” by Dusty Springfield, and in the Knockout Rounds with Harry Nilsson’s “Without You.” Following Mara’s performance, Legend decided that she was not the winner of the Knockout, leaving her up for grabs.

Luckily, Horan swooped in and saved the day. Mara joined Team Niall, singing Florence + the Machine’s “You’ve Got the Love” in the Playoff Rounds. Now, Mara has impressed with “Lose Control” by Teddy Swims, “Parachute” by Chris Stapleton, “Piece of My Heart” by Janis Joplin, and “Turning Tables” by Adele.

After countless weeks of stunning performances, Mara has clearly proven herself as a frontrunner of the competition. Tonight is the night, will Mara Justine be the next The Voice winner? What do you think? Let us know in the comments down below.
