The Voice is returning for Season 26 on Monday, but some fans of the show won’t be tuning in to the premiere. These viewers have shared their disappointment in this season’s coaching panel, which features new additions Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé.
Some Fans Won’t Watch The Voice Season 26
Heavy reports that several fans of the show have expressed their criticism about the upcoming season on social media, with one writing, “I’ve watched from the beginning but I believe I need to take a break this year.” They added that they “can’t handle the judges.”
Another fan wrote that they are “taking a season off from watching,” while someone else said they decided to stop watching the show last season. Others cited Snoop Dogg’s marijuana use as their reason for boycotting the season, calling The Voice “a family show.”
Others object to Gwen Stefani returning to the show for her eighth non-consecutive season as a coach. One fan wondered why Stefani is back as a coach, since her husband and fellow coach Blake Shelton quit the show to spend more time with family.
However, there are plenty of other fans who are expressing their excitement about the new season, which also features returning coach Reba McEntire. Comments on the show’s recent Instagram post introducing the coaches are full of people looking forward to the show, which premieres September 23 on NBC.

Who Will Appear on the Show Next Season?
The coaching lineup for Season 27 of the show, set to premiere in spring 2025, will look a little different from this season. Michael Bublé will be back for his second season, with on-and-off coach John Legend returning.
Especially notable is the return of former coach Adam Levine, who appeared on the show’s first 16 seasons before leaving in 2019. Levine will be back in the red chair for his first season without his bestie Blake Shelton.
Rounding out the panel is new coach Kelsea Ballerini, who is no stranger to the show. She appeared as a “fifth coach” on a spinoff series called The Comeback Stage, and she also sat in for coach Kelly Clarkson when she was out sick in 2021.
