Why ‘DWTS’ Fans Are Concerned For Wayne Brady, Witney Carson On Michael Bublé Night
Reading Time: 3 minutes
Dancing With the Stars fans are extremely nervous for the leaderboard topping pair, Witney Carson and Wayne Brady going into this week. Over the weekend, Witney uploaded a series of cryptic updates following her recent trip to Cancun, Mexico. Since not much information was given in the professional dancer’s posts, many are concerned the two didn’t get much rehearsal time this week.
Witney Carson Visited Cancun, Mexico Over the Weekend
In a series of posts on her stories on Instagram, Witney revealed her family’s brief stay in Cancun. Although the posts made their time look eventful, the dancer revealed that she didn’t need to be there after a change in plans.
Witney initially shared on her post that her dance partner, Wayne Brady had a gig in Cancun, prompting her to go for a fun work trip with her son. The two seemed to have misunderstood one another, since Brady admitted that the gig was actually via Zoom while he was in Phoenix, Arizona.
We’re not sure if this situation was just a miscommunication, or if Wayne’s gig was changed at the last minute. Regardless, Witney went on to share a set of cryptic posts, explaining that they had a difficult time leaving the city.
“Everything Will Be Explained on Monday Night!”
Later, Witney provided an update on her son’s health. She revealed that her child came down with a fever probably due to fatigue. Fans believed that her son either had a mild case of the flu, while others though it was COVID-19.
“All will be explained on Monday night! With that being said… We had a crazy difficult travel day getting back to LA. Poor Leo was sick the whole way home,” Witney wrote on Instagram. “Didn’t eat or drink anything and had a pretty high fever. He was so miserable and screaming off and on all day. I’m hoping and praying it’s a quick bug. I went straight from the airport to rehearsals. Pray for us this week. Love you all.”
Since Witney shared photos at the DWTS studio, fans are confident that she hasn’t contracted COVID-19. Instead, it is believed that the pair didn’t have much time to rehearse ahead of the next episode. In light of the situation, Wayne has since assure fans that the show will still go on. Unfortunately, it is doubtful though that the couple would be able to perform at their best, because of missing rehearsals.
Ahead of the pairs reassuring posts, fans were concerned that Wayne had gotten injured at his gig, which would lead to them to withdraw from the show. Hopefully, the pair has no intention in doing so, but we’ll truly find out tonight.
Witney, Wayne Set to Compete on Michael Bublé Night
Defying all odds is what Witney has done, showing up on time for rehearsals before the show starts despite facing multiple challenges. Although her son is currently coming down with a fever, she fully dedicated herself to performing her routine with Wayne.
Witney left her son in the care of someone else at the moment, and danced to the best of her abilities. At this time, Wayne and Witney remain on the lineup of Monday night’s Michael Bublé Night.
Witney and Wayne remain fan favorites in the show and always deliver a stunning performance every time they take to the ballroom. We’re hoping the pair remains unfazed by their recent troubles, since they have a real chance at winning.
Dancing With The Stars‘s Michael Bublé Night airs live on Disney+ on Monday, October 24 at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT.
