Don’t expect to see any new tattoos adorning former The Voice coach Adam Levine’s body in the near future. The Maroon 5 singer revealed in a recent interview that he’s “done with the pain” of getting inked.
Adam Levine Probably Won’t Get More Tattoos
Levine has quite a few tattoos all over his body, and his most recent ink was reportedly a refresh of the sleeve tattoo on his left arm. The singer recently spoke to Today.com about his experience getting tattooed, suggesting he might be done with it.
“I covered up my sleeve with another sleeve. Who does that? What is wrong with me? Psychotic,” Levine told the outlet, adding that tattoos are “fun” but “painful” at the same time. “It really hurt. I’m kind of done with the pain, I’ve decided … now, I’ve softened.”
The singer also admitted to “running out of room” on his body to even put a new tattoo design, adding that he “promised” he would never tattoo his face. When asked if he has a favorite tattoo, Levine initially said he has “too many” to choose from, but ended up saying he likes “the ones on my hands.”
The star has the words “true love” spelled out on eight fingers across both hands. He may be partial to those, but Levine still made to sure to add, “I like them all.”

Levine Has More Tattoos Than He Expected
It’s interesting that Levine said he’s so fond of his hand tattoos, considering he once said he wouldn’t want that part of his body to be inked. People points out that when he was named Sexiest Man Alive in 2013, he listed his hands and legs as off-limits for tatoos.
“I don’t do below the waist. You can’t do the hands, that’s sacred too, that’s what you make things with, I’m tied to my hands. I just can’t do hands,” Levine told the magazine. He has since gotten both his hands and his leg tattooed.
The singer also revealed that he got his first tattoo (a dove on his left bicep) when he was 21, explaining, “It was five days after 9/11. I felt this need to say something with this peaceful thing on my body.”
