What Ever Happened to ‘American Song Contest’ Finalists? — Here Are They Now

American Song Contest came to an end last May. This makes us wonder about the winners and non-winners of the show. Have they continued to pursue music after the reality series?
Let’s take a look at American Song Contest grand finalists and see what they have been doing now.
1. Michael Bolton
Michael Bolton was one of the most popular participants that joined American Song Contest. This two-time Grammy winner recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of his 1997 album, All That Matters.
2. Chloe Fredericks
After representing North Dakota in the show, Chloe Fredericks navigated the music industry by herself. She has released new music and even served as an opening act at the Ribfest in Watford City last August.
3. Grant Knoche
After American Song Contest, Grant Knoche released his newest single “FIRST HELLO” and came out as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. He currently takes his TikTok followers through each step of his creative process and uploads mental health-related content on the app.
4. Tenelle
This American Samoa native is currently embarking on a holiday tour titled Tenelle For The Islands. Her eight-date tour kicked off in Australia and is expected to end in Hawaii. She’s also released her newest single this November, Fill My Cup.
5. Tyler Braden
Tyler Braden is currently signed to recording company Warner Music Nashville. After the show, he performed in multiple shows, from small gigs to music tours. He also celebrated the first year since the release of his seven-song EP which has also reached 100 million streams online.
6. Ni/Co
Dani Brillhart and Colton Jones continue to grow their YouTube channel by releasing covers. Apart from that, they’ve also been creating vlogs called as Struggling Artist Diaries. Their new original music will be released in January 2023.
7. Jordan Smith
Jordan Smith has obtained his first ever DOVE Award this year, winning the Inspirational Album of the Year category for his album Be Still and Know. He’s also been promoting “Sparrow” as originally heard in American Song Contest, and “Tremble” in collaboration with Essential Worship.
8. Riker Lynch
Last September, Riker Lynch happily announced that his film, Aliens on Halloween, was streamed in Crete, Greece. Along with filmmaking, Lynch has been performing in different venues and has also created music to be released this December.
9. AleXa
AleXa is currently signed as an artist with ZB Label, a South Korean entertainment label. This American Song Contest winner has recently released her six-track EP Girls Gone Vogue. She also released the official music video of Back in Vogue which has reached 12 million views as of writing.
10. Allen Stone
Allen Stone concluded two tours this year, Karaoke Extravaganza and The New Normal tour. Additionally, he released his newest single, “5 minutes.”
