Sofia Vergara has been a great addition to AGT so far, but one act from Tuesday night’s new episode might have made her reconsider ever joining the show as a judge.
The act was sword swallower Brett Loudermilk. He invited Sofia onto the stage during his audition to have her help with his performance. America’s Got Talent released a sneak peek of the nail-biting routine.
Sofia Vergara Joins ‘AGT’ Sword Swallower
Brett, from North Carolina, introduced himself as a person who loves to entertain people. Specifically, Brett swallows swords. Before his performance, he said he needed a woman from the audience to help him.

Although plenty of audience members were ready to participate, Brett instead invited judge Sofia Vergara onto the stage with him. “I’m not gonna swallow anything!” Sofia declared before they started.
Brett explained that he would swallow the sword, and Sofia would pull it out of his mouth when she saw him wink. “What if I kill you?” Sofia wondered, prompting Brett to joke that she was “the wrong choice.”
Did Sofia Pull The Sword Out?
Sofia certainly didn’t make it easy for Brett, although it was entertaining to watch her freak out over the idea of pulling the sword out. First she tried to turn away from him, and he reminded her that she needed to see him.

It certainly didn’t help when Brett pretended to hurt himself with the sword, prompting Sofia to run off stage. Host Terry Crews pushed her back out. Sofia chickened out a few more times before finally getting the courage to pull on the sword.
