Zurcaroh was one of the best surprises to come out of Season 13 of ‘AGT.’ In a season full of extraordinary acts, the group based in Austria was able to earn Tyra Banks’ Golden Buzzer and finish the competition in second place. Let’s take a look back at their incredible journey on ‘AGT.’
Zurcaroh Performed Dangerous Acrobatic Routines On ‘AGT’
Zurcaroh came onto ‘AGT’ with the excitement of performing on the biggest stage in the world. They did not disappoint with their audition full of dangerous tricks including using one group member as a human jump rope and tossing her high up in the air. The group managed to land every stunt perfectly which led to a standing ovation from all of the judges.
Nobody was more impressed with their audition than host Tyra Banks. She ran down to hit the Golden Buzzer which sent Zurcaroh straight to the Quarterfinals. They portrayed the story of The Garden of Eden during this performance. The tricks were taken to new heights and the performance ended with roaring applause and standing ovation. It was no surprise when they were voted into the Semifinals.
Zurcaroh made it all the way to The Finals where they pulled off one of the most dangerous routines ever on the ‘AGT’ stage. The performance had a message about finding peace in the world. It was the perfect combination of dancing and never-before-seen stunts. Heidi Klum called this performance “jaw-dropping.” They were named the runners up of the competition behind winner Shin Lim.
Where Are They Now?
Since appearing on the show, Zurcaroh has traveled all over the world doing shows. Founder Peterson da Cruz Hora was inspired after seeing a video of teenagers in Uganda practicing swinging exercises. He decided to fly there in 2018 to support them and offer his training expertise.
In 2019, Zurcaroh took the stage with a stunning routine at the Royal Variety Performance. In this performance, the group incorporated more hand balancing techniques and new formations that required laser focus and advanced gymnastics skills.
While the coronavirus pandemic has hindered their ability to do public appearances as of recent, they still continue to practice and perform when they can. They were just named ‘AGT’s second most viral act of all time behind Kodi Lee during the ‘AGT’ 15th-anniversary special. Zurcaroh also put on an amazing last-minute performance at Spectaculaire France 2020.
