Was ‘The Voice’s Keilah Grace Robbed in the Battle Rounds?

Keilah Grace

Keilah Grace was one of the youngest contestants on season 21 of The Voice, until she was eliminated during the battle rounds. This 15 year-old powerhouse singer showed versatility and range in her battle round performance, yet she wasn’t stolen. Although Joshua Vacanti clearly won this battle, she didn’t deserve to be eliminated.

Team Legend Shocks the Coaches with this Performance

Joshua and Keilah began the show with a theatrical, energy-filled performance of “Good 4 u” by Olivia Rodrigo. It was something that wasn’t expected out of both of the singers. Joshua is known for his theatrical background, while Keilah is known for her low-register and growl.

The singers belted this popular song while doing a semi-choreographed performance. In their coaching round, they were told to bring energy to the stage, and they definitely did that. Personally, I didn’t think this was the best song choice for either singer.

Immediately after their performance, Kelly Clarkson commented on the fun pairing and the fact that they both pushed their ranges in the best way possible. The coaches were shocked at how much these singers had changed since their original performance.

Joshua shocked the coaches by performing something less theatrical than expected. Considering he sang “Into the Unknown” from Frozen in his audition, they didn’t expect him to do this round like this.

Legend commented that both of his singers did an amazing job on this performance, but the winner is Joshua. When the time came for Keilah’s elimination, I was surprised none of the coaches tried to steal her.

I was SHOCKED when Grande didn’t use her last steal on this singer. She commented on vocal range, her age, and the flawless execution. It really made me feel like Grande was going to steal her.

As soon as Keilah walked off the stage, Grande talked about how dumb she felt for not turning for the artist. Although Keilah is no longer on The Voice, she’s still so young and definitely has a large career ahead of her.
