‘Walk The Line’ Judge Craig David Drops New Single “Who You Are”
Walk the Line judge Craig David dropped his latest single “Who You Are” today just in time for the show’s season finale. David teamed up with British singer-songwriter MNEK for the uptempo single. The new song shares a message for people to live authentically and be themselves in a world that tells them to be someone else.
The video for “Who You Are” already has over 1 million views on YouTube. In the video, viewers will see two outcasts who seem to be unhappy with themselves. The video continues and we see a male and female duo meet each other right when they need it the most.
The two begin to celebrate and embrace who they are and each other. Together they show that they are no longer afraid to be who they are.
MNEK and David are the perfect duo. MNEK is a Grammy award winning songwriter who has made a career out of reflecting LGBTQIA+ stories that show acceptance and how important it is to feel you belong. David has been a supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community, and is often known as one of the first R&B male singers who acknowledged fans who are a part of that community.
Craig David Drops New Single Ahead of Walk the Line Finale
Walk The Line is the latest singing competition produced by Simon Cowell. The show gives contestants a chance to win over £500,000 if they are able to impress the audience each episode. While the show features a celebrity panel of judges including David, their role is more to advise and give constructive feedback rather than judge. In fact, the audience vote is the soul measure for whether or not a contestant wins. Cowell personally called David to come onboard to judge his latest creation.
David plans on releasing his new album and going on tour in 2022. His career has been on a roll as of late. He recently received the Member of the Order from Prince Charles, the third highest ranking Order of the British Award.
