The Voice Recap: Top 10 Eliminations
We’re headed to the semifinals, but first, we’re recapping the tough part of each week- eliminations. Last night, two contestants were eliminated before next week’s semifinal show. The Voice Season 14 winner will be announced before we know it. But first, let’s take a look at last night’s results.
Starting off the show with a tribute to the contestants’ moms for Mothers Day. We got to see more of their personalities and where they came from. Then, it was time for business as the top 10 contestants were brought out to center stage. The first seven names in order that were announced as semi-finalists were:
The final three contestants, Christiana Danielle, Jackie Verna and Rayshun LaMarr were set to perform in which America can only save one through a live 5 minute voting period.
Performing Unchain My Heart, Christiana brought both soul and high energy to this piece. Her coach, Alicia, emphasized on Christiana’s uniqueness and one-of-a-kind voice. Alicia urges America to see this her vision in Christiana and help her to continue in this competition.
Performing to I Told You So, Jackie sung from the heart and even got emotional towards the end. Adam tells her he’s shocked to see her in the bottom, but that he doesn’t need the validation of America’s vote to already know how talented and gifted she is.
Bringing energy to the stage with his rendition of Let’s Get It On . Adam tells America it’s up to them to decide if they want to be deprived of Rayshun’s incredible energy and performances.
America’s votes proved to have taken Adam’s advice, as Rayshun was saved and moves on to the semifinal show. This means it was the end of the road for Jackie Verna and Christiana Danielle, but they are already winners in our book.
