Last week, The Voice‘s Casting team announced the audition dates and cities for 2019! These Open Call Auditions will take place in January and February of next year. It has still not been announced who the coaches will be for these. But we now know the show will have a season 17! So that’s reason enough to celebrate too!

Here is the official announcement from The Voice Casting:

That’s right, these are the Open Call Auditions for Season 17! These will take place in January and February of 2019. The Casting team will be in New York on January 19, Miami on January 26, Nashville on February 16, and San Francisco on February 24. None of the exact venues or times have been announced yet. But in the past, each city has had two call times on each date–one in the morning and one in the afternoon–so that should remain. It looks like the minimum age of 13 will stay the same for this round as well. And if you want to know what these auditions are like, here are five things you should know about the process!

But if you can’t make it to one of these cities, don’t worry! The Voice provides plenty of ways for hopeful artists to audition. First, you can submit a video online for consideration. Do that here! Second, The Voice Casting has started an Open Mic Night once a month. While it takes place at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles, their new live stream allows artists from across the country to perform! This does NOT count as an audition, but is a great way to get in front of the Casting team. Lastly, though it is not an “official” way to audition, The Voice‘s Casting team has said that it watches Instagram and YouTube videos with them tagged. From time to time, they also do “Knockouts” on Instagram to give away “Front of the Line” passes for the Open Call Auditions.

So all that being said, there are more ways than ever to audition! The Voice Casting wants to bring in the most talented people so they’ve opened up plenty of opportunities. If you’re interested, I’d definitely say to give it a try. I’ve auditioned myself and it was an amazing experience! Even though I never made it to Team Adam.
