Usher is set to take the stage at the Super Bowl Halftime Show this Sunday in Las Vegas, as the San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs. The singer hinted that Lil Jon and Ludacris might be joining him for a performance of their song “Yeah!”
Usher Hints at Lil Jon, Ludacris Cameos During Super Bowl
Earlier this week, a promo for the Super Bowl Halftime Show was released by Roc Nation, who is producing the show with Apple Music. The clip shows Lil Jon and Ludacris, along with Taraji P. Henson, as they look for Usher.
“I would be a fool to not play ‘Yeah!’ let’s just start there,” Usher told Entertainment Tonight of his plans for Sunday’s performance. “It would be foolish to make it all the way to Las Vegas, Jon is here, Luda’s here and not play ‘Yeah!'”
The singer previously teased that there would “definitely” be special guests joining him during the show. Is this confirmation that Lil Jon and Ludacris will be on hand for a “Yeah!” performance on Sunday?
“Yeah!” was released in 2004 as the lead single from Usher’s fourth album Confessions. It became a huge hit, topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 12 weeks in a row, only to be dethroned by yet another Usher single, “Burn.”
Fans can catch Usher’s Halftime Show performance during Super Bowl LVIII, airing live on Sunday, February 11, from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be available to watch on CBS.
Not only will football followers and Usher fanatics be tuning in, but Swifties will also have a reason to watch this year’s big game. Taylor Swift is believed to be attending the game to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who plays for the Chiefs.
